The Santa Barbara Area Chapter American Payroll Association
Affiliated in 2006, the SBAC APA is an independent local affiliate of the American Payroll Association which shares the goals and supports the initiatives of the American Payroll Association. The local chapter does not pay dues to or have any direct financial relationship with the American Payroll Association.
Members of the Chapter are payroll professionals in Santa Barbara and the surrounding area who are proud of their profession and willing to expand and share their experience and knowledge.
Santa Barbara Area Chapter’s Goals
To provide services to the area’s APA members and other payroll professionals that complement the activities of the American Payroll Association.
To provide additional services, information, and education regarding local payroll issues and concerns not covered by APA, such as state and local regulations and taxes.
To provide a support network of payroll professionals willing to share their knowledge and experience.
Meetings
Most Chapter meetings take place on the fourth Thursday of the month at 11:30 a.m. Meetings include lunch, networking and educational programs (usually certified for RCH credit by APA National). Check the calendar of events for specific meeting details.
Board Meetings
Board Meetings are scheduled monthly at the convenience of the Board. If you are interested in participating, by accepting an office or chairing a committee, please contact Betsy Byrne at bbyrne@sbcourts.org.
